November Days

It feels wintery today with cooler temperatures and grey skies. However, things are as upbeat as ever on the yards as we continue preparing the horses for their upcoming races.

El is taking a break from clipping and driving to Bangor with Steve, Caboy and Haul Us in. In search of soft and heavy ground and appropriate races, the drive is straightforward and the horses were settled in their overnight stables by 9pm.

Caboy enjoyed the track last time and he drops back in trip to just two miles. He is a strong type who has been improving with each run and we are hopeful of another step forward tomorrow.

Haul Us In is a lovely old fashioned scopey chase mare who is starting off over three miles. She had a good summer rest and if she can pick up from where she left off when second in March she will be close up.

Our third runner is closer to home at Newcastle where the going is good, and Bollingerandkrug has his second novice hurdle. A youngster with plenty of ability who impresses on the gallops, he needs experience racing and looks the type to be even better with a little more time.
